Experience Exceptional Child Care with Home Time

Where Every Child is Valued and Supported

ABOUT
My name is Tina and I am an Ofsted Registered Child Minder with 10 years previous childminding experience. I had a break to try a new venture for a few years but I am now returning to childcare. I have a full DBS, Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Cache Level 3 Childcare Diploma, GDPR Certificate of Achievement, Safeguarding Children Level 3  and a food hygiene certificate.

I have 5 grandchildren, some of whom I care for, and some of whom live with me. They attend John Kyrle and Ashfield Park School. I can offer drop off and pick up from Walford School, Goodrich School, St Joseph's School and Ashfield Park School. I have a comfortable MPV (with a DVD player!) which the children just love to ride in.

Children will be provided with breakfast and a hot evening meal.

I offer early drop off and late pick ups. Sessions can be booked half termly in advance and I will do my best to accommodate children at later notice.

I am available for school holiday cover. During the holidays we will have pre-arranged days out which may incur extra small fees for entrance etc. I will arrange these to suit the children who want to attend and have home days for those who do not.

My goal is to make my home an extension of your home so that your children feel comfortable and relaxed here.

Ultimately, by taking care of business whilst they are with me, you get to enjoy quality time once you are all back home together.

MY VALUES

I adore working with children of all ages. I love cooking for them, playing with them and teaching them. I believe that family values are very important. We eat our meals together at the table and everyone helps with cooking and preparing our food as well as tidying up afterwards. I firmly believe that children learn so much through play and family time and I am keen to increase their confidence and independence with the same love and care that I afford to my own children. Anti discrimination. Confidentiality. Rights of the individual. Choice. Dignity. Culture and personal beliefs. Protecting from abuse. Effective communication I have experience in dealing with children with special needs, having spent 5 years as a foster carer. One of our grandchildren is on the autistic spectrum so I completely understand how difficult it is for parents to find suitable care for atypical children and would do my best to help with any child no matter what their needs. My goal is to make my home an extension of your home so that your children feel comfortable and relaxed here. Ultimately, by taking care of business whilst they are with me, you get to enjoy quality time once you are all back home together.

MY HOME

We live in a quiet cul de sac off Roman Way, 1 mile from town centre. We have a large secure rear garden with lots of child based activities. Next to the play garden is our leisure area which we like to call 'Wye Bother' - here we have a summer house with more games and activities, a barbecue area and a hot tub. We use this space only when fully supervised and it is locked for safety at all other times. At the front of the house, again locked unless fully supervised, is our fish and nature pond. Indoors we have a large kitchen diner where we prepare and eat our meals and snacks together at the table. We like to have a chat about our day and get to know each other better. I have good supply of arts and crafts, construction toys, board games to keep us entertained after tea. The living room provides a quiet space where we can watch TV, do some offline computer things, homework or just relax and rest. We might go for a walk or visit the park after school depending on the weather and number of children at Hometime.

Caring for you and your child
Being a working parent offers many challenges so I try to make life easier in various ways:

I offer early drop off for children from 6am and late pick up until 6.30pm.

Children may be dropped off in their PJ's and get themselves dressed for school here if that makes your life easier and their day a little shorter.

Breakfast will consist of cereal, toast, fruit, pancakes, etc.

After breakfast, we will clean our teeth and I will ask you to provide a toothbrush and toothpaste which I will store in a labelled container in the bathroom cabinet - one more chore off the list!

If you want to send play clothes to keep school uniform clean and fresh, that is perfectly OK.

If your child has specific needs, we can discuss this in more detail and I will endeavour to accommodate all requests to make your child's time here as seamless as possible.

If your child cannot attend school due to minor illness, I may be able to help with daycare - please feel free to ask. Simillarly, if your child becomes unwell at school, I will do my best to collect them and care for them until you are free.

Upon registration, I will send a list of after school snacks and drinks for your approval or you may send your own.

I will send a menu for you and your child to complete each weekend for their evening meal. There will be a choice of a hot meal, vegetarian meal or sandwich.
